Three Efficient Ways To Fight Against the Summer Heat

Summer is knocking on our doors! We do enjoy it, no doubt about it! Having our holiday, we can go out of our rainy England, to other countries, warmer, with lots of sunshine… And here is the annoying thing – what about the heat? When you feel like a steak on a grill and almost cannot breathe that heavy air around you… See below three easy and effective methods to combat unbearable heat.
Drink more liquids
That is for sure! Good hydration is extremely important for your body’s health and tonus, especially in the summer. As you know, prolonged heat is not only debilitating but also dangerous, as high temperatures make our body “waste” its valuable supplies of water in an attempt to cool. That is why it is good to take as much drinks as possible.
Also, do not forget that not all drinks are good in the fight against summer heat. Do avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as well as too sweet / artificially coloured drinks. Better get simply water, natural fresh juice and teas (green tea, mint).

Invest in quality fabrics
Prolonged heat, shortness of breath and UV rays have a negative impact on the whole organism. They greatly dehydrate the skin, dry the hair and enhance the function of the sweat glands. The best way to protect your body (and mood) is to invest in seasonal clothing.
Better buy clothes made entirely of natural fabrics – flax, cotton and silk. These fabrics are not only comfortable but also extremely suitable for summer heat. They will provide you with comfort and coolness. Although they are more expensive than their synthetic “brothers”, the clothes made of natural fabrics are definitely much better, comfortable and functional.

Refresh yourself with water activities
Swimming is undoubtedly one of the most effective, healthy and enjoyable methods to fight against the heat. It has got a beneficial effect on the appearance, strengthens the muscles, improves your shape, cleanses toxins from the body and, last but not least, provides unparalleled coolness.

Make your summer pleasant and adorable!

The spring is knocking on your door… Some would say, it is the most beautiful season of the year. The day becomes longer, it gets more sunny, everything blooms, awakens to a new life and overflowing with energy… But you do feel terrible, having almost no tonus and mood, highly distracted, no will for a work! And right now we have to switch to summer time which is something that will impede further adaptation mechanisms of the body.

Why is that? Why instead of being alert and rested, you’re tired and listless? According to various experts, the simplest explanation for the emergence of spring fatigue is an imbalance in the body.

Weakening of the immune system is due to the long winter months where sunlight hasn’t been enough at all. Decreased consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables affected particularly negatively diet during the winter. Unhealthy diet combined with the horrors colds and flu are leading to the accumulation of toxins in the body. During colder months, the metabolism slows down and the absorption of the substances is becoming more difficult as a result of which more often we get tired and inoperable.

If you often feel lack of appetite, insomnia, headache, constant fatigue and loss of sense of humor, we recommend you try some of our ideas for getting over the spring fatigue:

  • Peppermint oil to fight acute hunger

In the spring time we very often feel seizures of acute hunger. However, mother nature has found a peculiar way to outwit the attacks of increased appetite with the help of peppermint oil. It would be good to have in your purse a bottle of 100% natural oil, and in a fit of insatiable hunger to be able to breathe the strong and rich aroma.

  • Vitamin C for a weight loss

Daily intake of fresh juice of 4 lemons diluted with water provides you with a sufficient amount of necessary vitamin for the body which accumulates in the adrenal gland – a key place where synthesize some of the most important hormones that help weight loss – adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol.

  • Rice removes harmful substances …

The accumulation of too many harmful substances in the body inevitably can cause obesity. Considering that the normal course of metabolism can be quite slow, Indian medicine recommends a three-day diet with a decoction of rice seasoned with a little salt, ginger and cumin. It is necessary to increase the intake of liquids such as adequate water would be boiled.

  • and tea from India (Muscat) wren taking off dangerous toxins from the body

Essential substances in the core of nutmeg improve liver function and purify it so this “faithful guardian” of the body can safely perform its functions. Naturopath recommend the following recipe: add 1 teaspoon of freshly ground nutmeg to a cup of herbal tea (optional) sweetened with honey. Drink one cup in a day. The healing period should last no more than two weeks.

  • Ginger for better functioning of the digestive system

In China and India ginger is the preferred source against interference of the digestive system’s activities. It greatly facilitates the formation of saliva and gastric juice and helps to facilitate absorption of food. With its help your digestive system will function flawlessly! It is before a meal to take 1 cup of boiled hot water mixed with ½ teaspoon of grated ginger.

  • Yogurt for a better bacterial flora

In fact, only when the stomach is functioning normally then the body fully absorbs all the nutrients. Yogurt and sauerkraut contain lactic-acid bacteria and bifidobacteria which are caring well for a healthy climate in the intestine.

  • Exotic spices stimulate digestion

Eastern medicine says that a person suffers from obesity only when the digestive system is working slowly. Exotic spices such as cinnamon, turmeric, tarragon and ginger stimulate digestion and improve metabolism. Have you heard of spice called fennel which has got the ability to activate the metabolism and improves the tonus of the organism? In fact, it has been known since the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Hindus, Romans and Arabs. They believed that fennel improves eyesight and stimulate metabolism. On the other hand, good chefs highly value that spice and are using its aerial parts and roots. Fennel has got a pleasant taste and aroma which reminds a lot of dill. To prepare fennel tea, it is required in 200 ml of boiling water to add 1-2 teaspoon of the aromatic spice. Take one cup 2-3 times per day.

  • Seafood for stonger muscles

Shrimp, crabs and shellfish provide the body with protein substance called taurine which assists the growth hormones – the take care of the body to burn more fats and build muscle mass. Researches showed that overweight women often suffer from a lack of taurine.

  • Apples for a longer life!

It has been shown that an apple per day increases the length of life of three years! And this is not accidental because it contains pectin – it eliminates hunger and has got the ability to bind fats and , in this way, “cleans” the intestines. Do eat often apples between meals and when you feel ravenous hunger. Apple vinegar does contribute to the reduction of fat cells as the body begins to use fat for energy. You can prepare the following drink that must be taken in the morning on an empty stomach: 200 ml of water, 2 tablespoon vinegar and 2 tablespoons of honey.

  • Algae heal you best

It has been proven that the seaweed is one of the largest potential source of proteins and other vital nutrients. In algae contains large amounts of iodine, which is excellent “fuel” for metabolic processes. It also assists the thyroid hormone – thyroxine, and activates the transformation of energy and fat burning. In the spring time algae stimulate, strengthen and enhance the immune system of humans. Especially is useful in maintaining a healthy and balanced diet.

Colours in our home interior play a significant role. One room may resonate differently to the habitants depending on its colour.

Modern science called ergonomics proves and clarifies the importance of colours in our lives. The choice of colours for individual rooms cannot be done arbitrarily just because we love a particular colour. The colour composition in the interior supposed to be considered in advance thinking about the use of the rooms, their size and deposition.

In bedrooms the colour dynamics should not be active. The walls in bedrooms could get painted in pastel colours with greyish, silverish with light blue and pink shades. The impact of the colours in your bedroom should be soothing and neutral.

Best Colours For Bedroom Wall Colour Combination For Small Bedroom Seasons Of Home - Home Design Inspiration

In living room colour dynamics is more pronounced, for example, furniture with bright veneer furniture fabric suit in gray-green tones, and the carpet or floor – with light. If the furniture are made of walnut tree, then the fabric should be in red or wine colour with a tinge of brown, the walls – painted in ocher and the floor – in dark blue or beige.

In kitchen colour solution could be the most diverse. The walls which there are kitchen appliances to can be painted in orange, and the remaining walls – in light yellow.

In children’s room the colour combinations basically need to be different than the ones in all the rest rooms in home. It must predispose to joyable and cheerful mood. Colour of medium intensity is suitable, also with greater intensity. For children of preschool and primary are recommended the following colours: yellow, orange, light red, purple, light blue and azure. There is a rule which applies in those cases: as these colours are more vivid and strong, so the colored area must be smaller. Furniture in children’s room, tiny chairs, tables and beds could be tinted in the saturated colors of red, yellow or green color. Combinations with white would be good.

Regarding rooms designed to do practice and study in, the colors of the walls should create an atmosphere of calm and business. For this purpose, neutral colors range from green, sage, greyish-blue and other colors in the range of  yellow flowers are very suitable.

In spaces for recreation, cultural activities, etc., not very intense colours such as green, blue and beige would be fine.

There are following principles in colour design of the interior:

major surfaces – walls and ceilings, painted in bright saturated colours;

– small spots (textiles and furniture) – in vivid colours;

– bright colours should occupy smaller spaces;

– alternation of cold and warm colours, using a full colour contrast;

– variety of bright colours that creates unrest should be avoided.

Bearing in mind that light colours create optical illusion of space, small rooms and apartments need to be built in tonal terms with bright colours, taking no fragmentation of certain areas and groups.

In multiroom apartments can be used more intense colours so the aim should be to avoid monotony.

There are many ways to change the way your home looks. You can move the furniture, change the curtains or paint the walls. And to keep on top of all this, your home needs regular cleaning. Each room – big or small – could look better when is fresh, clean and tidy.

Here are a few tips how easily to keep the purity in home:

One room a day

If you live on you own and you are to implement all the cleaning duties, even the thought of it makes you feel sick and you are looking for number of reasons to not do it/to postpone it – you are too tired, too busy or whatsoever you can guess. In fact, you don’t have to clean off everything in one day. Just start with the bathroom, for example, the other day with the kitchen and, in that way, in a certain moment you would realize that you have actually cleaned all the areas.

Keep the achieved purity

Once you have made deep clean, you need to keep the high level. Tidy up your bed when you get up in the morning, wash your pots just after you have been eating and put the stuff on its right place. Even if it sounds a bit boring to you now, you will get used to and before you know, it will become a habit of yours.

Recycle and donate

If you have got lots of stuff you do not use, you can avoid its moving all the time from one place to another by donating or recycling it. You will feel how nicer and much more clean is your home without anything useless.

Stop buying useless stuff

After getting rid of all needless, do not return to the old bad habits to gather things more and more. Before buying anything new – a souvenir, decoration, furniture, think twice do you really need it or you just emotionally want it.

In certain times of our lives all of us are getting bored with the home stuff – the furniture we have bought ages ago, the wall decoration we have put on from the moment we have come into the room, the colors we have painted before 5-10 or 15 years… Perhaps, the need of diversity is making us decide to get some repair in our homes. Usually, everything starts with changing the windows or new tiles in the bathroom. But when we turn around, we realize that we have come to overhaul the entire apartment. We feel involved in such a mess we think we wouldn’t be able to cope with…Looking around we are seeing trash, dust, traces of plaster and latex adhesive and it looks like we have got more and more things to clean. Getting in the corner, and now the other one is dirty and we keep cleaning. In our apartment we have given permission to many people to come in, from painters to builders, hammers, plumbers etc., no end, and the horror has only just begun. Our entire house is dirty. Are we able to sort everything out as quicker as possible?

How to properly clean our home after builders?

First of all, do not get panicked! There is always an exit from any situation you are into! What you have to do is just to select the right tools and materials necessary for your mission to begin. When you have made a plan and your list of tasks, then you are fully prepared.

To reduce your possible headache, do the jobs step by step.

Step 1

As we mentioned, it is very important to make a list of everything you need to clean up for you do not miss anything. Have a walk in each room because you always see the basic things for cleaning, and below them there are at least ten other hidden places. Remember that each corner must be cleaned well.

Step 2

Once you already know what you need to clean, consider and make a list of detergents and other stuff such as towels or so. But remember to trust old tested recipes: vinegar, baking soda, olive oil, citric acid. Then arm yourself with the necessary equipment: a ladder to higher areas, a broom to remove cobwebs, a sprayer to dissolve mixtures in it and a knife – mock or vignettes if there are residues of stickers on the doors or joinery, bin bags to stow trash. And, let’s face it – we need a lot of patience and strength, as well.

Step 3

Once you have everything available after builders cleaning, consider how much free time you have and distribute the tasks properly. You ought to consider where the cleaning to start from. For best, you start from the floor, as usually in there are pretty much construction dust and possible residues of paint and glue. The floor must be cleaned thoroughly in purpose to remove the main garbage and especially dust, because even if you have cleaned windows or cabinets firstly, when you start to clean the floor, all the dust from it will rise up and will stick in the previously cleaned furniture, walls, windows etc.

Here are tips how to clean different kinds of spaces in your home:

1. Walls cleaning. If your walls are newly painted, stick to dry cleaning which in no way harms the still-drying paint. You can wipe with a damp cloth. Remember that you can cause yourself extra work if by some reason the paint starts to leak during the wet processing with the cloth. Wrap a towel around a broom or other type of extension in order to reach high places. If your walls are with wallpaper or natural material (wood), clean them with a brush. For any other type of wallpaper wipe with a damp cloth, being careful and make sure that the surface will not be damaged in this operation.

2. Floors and other surfaces. If the floors are carpeted, move them gently by vacuuming. If they made of wood, tile or linoleum you can do it with faster movements. Do not forget that if you have left some dirt in the carpet, after a while it could absorb it. That is why we pay special attention to it.

Use a special attachment for your vacuum cleaner. Every good housewife know swell that every surface and fabric need to be treated differently. Do not make the mistake of working on furniture, floor, walls, sills and other parts of your home using one and same attachment of the vacuum cleaner. This would not only contaminate the more sensitive places and objects in your home, but also the possible dirt would damage them. Remember, no matter how rough the dirt is, underneath it there are always sensitive items. This is the rule which is observed when cleaning after repair of the dwelling or office.

3. Removing and cleaning of illuminants. If you have a ceiling fan, clean the blades and the body.

4. Remove and clean with soapy water, all objects that have had contaminated by repair can be treated this way. Do not think that when dirt is not visible, it is not there. Cleaning experience shows that every repair makes dust which managed to inflict on almost all surfaces in home. That is why we need to pay more attention to the uncovered items.

5. Using a damp cloth to wipe wood or metal furniture, trinkets and all other miscellaneous items. Naturally, we recommend you to be careful and to pay special attention to what you will wipe

6. Check and clean the filters in your home. After the repair is more than advisable to remove all filters (air conditioners, hoods, water – in the kitchen) and clean them in detail.
